The Leidos Spatial Solutions team has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer with Windows system administration experience to work on cloud-based systems supporting mission critical operations in Gaithersburg, MD. The team is involved in operation and sustainment of multiple operational cloud deployed geospatial solutions. A successful candidate will be a self-starter and have experience with installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of cloud-based systems and administration of citrix-based desktops in cloud-based environments. Additional locations for this role include: Chantilly, VA, St. Louis, MO and Alexandria, VA.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will involve taking a leadership role in system changes and improvements; working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and responding to complex user INCs (Incident Reports); proactively recommend configuration changes to help improve system performance; Deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments; update critical databases with new data; author and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs.
Basic Qualifications:

Requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 6 years of experience in lieu of degree

Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph

DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher)

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server

Windows administration experience
-
Experience completing security remediation tasks based on security scans

Citrix administration experience
-
Knowledge of Systems, Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices

Proficient in software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.

Experience with AWS architectures and technologies

Familiar with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.)

Familiar with Git/GitLab or other source code control tools

Familiar with System Engineering documentation creation (VDDs, diagrams, etc.)

Familiar with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
Preferred Qualifications:

SAFe Agile Certification

Experience providing systems engineering support for geospatial products

Citrix certification(s)

AWS certification (e.g. Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps Engineer)

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
