The System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing that support electronic locks and mobile applications. This role ensures that systems are secure, reliable, and scalable to meet end-user needs, and coordinates interaction with internal teams and external entities.
Duties and responsibilities
- Documentation and Specification: Create detailed technical documentation and provide training for end-users and technical support staff.
- Integrated Systems Design: Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to design integrated solutions that combine firmware for electronic locks and mobile applications.
- Cloud and DevOps Management: Configure and maintain the cloud infrastructure supporting access control applications. Manage DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), ensuring an efficient and automated workflow.
- Information Security: Work closely with the cybersecurity department to implement robust security protocols that protect communications between mobile devices, electronic locks, and cloud services.
- Firmware Support: Collaborate with firmware engineers to ensure that electronic locks operate efficiently and are updated with the latest security patches.
- Platform Management: Coordinate with external entities for the management of hardware, firmware, and software platforms, ensuring solutions comply with company and industry standards.
- Integration and Testing: Ensure that new features are properly integrated and tested within the existing ecosystem, minimizing service disruption risks.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Use monitoring tools to identify and resolve system issues in real-time, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Required Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware.
- Skills in information security, particularly for IoT devices.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience in managing DevOps pipelines and CI/CD automation tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices.
- Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) used in IoT devices.
- Familiarity with mobile application development (iOS, Android) and their interactions with IoT devices.
