We’re looking for a System Engineer to join the Production, Shared Operation Secure Operation team at Telia.

I’m Michael Mobelius, leading the Secure Operation DevOps team within the Shared Operation, IT Production & Cyber Security organization, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a great bunch of people, and I am super proud of every member of our team.

What you’ll do:

As a System Engineer, you will support and develop our target systems within the IT Production area, working with a wide range of diverse technologies, from databases, networking, servers and clusters to other components and services.

  • Support and develop target systems within the IT Production area
  • Secure and maintain the Service Level Agreement towards our stakeholders together with colleagues
  • Solve problems with a proactive and preventative approach
  • Take on the technical role as System Engineer in projects and run smaller sub-projects
  • Develop tools to support our systems within the operation area
  • Deploy and configure continuous changes within the application landscape
  • Keep technical documentation continuously up to date
  • Drive automation improvements and execute Priority and/or GRC controls

  • Technical background, university degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with Linux and Windows server administration
  • Experience with Kubernetes and technical IT Operations
  • Knowledge of Splunk, databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL, and IP networks and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Agile and SAFe ways-of-working
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines and development tools such as GitHub, Jenkins and Ansible
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and probing solutions; 4G/5G signaling will be a plus
  • Good to have knowledge of service management tools like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow, and monitoring and analytics tools like Grafana and Prometheus
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally
