Your work will directly impact how our Operating Units deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance automation to customers worldwide. You will collaborate closely with product managers, strategy teams, and systems engineers across R&D to translate business needs into robust system architectures. Ultimately, you will help our customers move goods more efficiently and future-proof their operations through intelligent automation.
As a Systems Engineer within the KION Robotics Solutions Division, you will be at the heart of crafting the conceptual and architectural development of our next-generation Mobile Robots and automated material flow systems. Working closely with hardware, software, and functional specialists across global teams, you will ensure that system concepts are robust, modular, and ready for future scalability.
You will take ownership of defining and managing system requirements, driving standardization of architectures and interfaces, and ensuring seamless collaboration across domains. Acting as the technical linchpin, you will cultivate knowledge transfer between mechanical, electrical, and software fields. You will be responsible for ensuring every system element contributes coherently to the overall vehicle and fleet architecture.
Through the application of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and SysML modeling, you will structure and detail complex system interactions. You will build a transparent and traceable foundation for composition, implementation, and testing.
This role is ideally suited for an engineer who thrives in a system-of-systems environment someone passionate about integrating mobile robotics into intelligent warehouse ecosystems, and who enjoys connecting conceptual thinking with hands-on engineering execution. By joining KION, you will contribute directly to the evolution of the next-generation robotic platform, enabling smarter, safer, and more connected intralogistics solutions worldwide. We offer:
