Our success comes from the dedication of our people and their commitment to delivering meaningful solutions for our customers and their missions. If you’re looking for a supportive, team-oriented workplace where collaboration and shared success matter, we invite you to explore a career with BCT LLC.
About the job:
BCT LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess an active TS/SCI with POLY and perform systems engineering functions, including defining and documenting concept of operations, operational/system requirements, and use cases to support system development; performing high-level system design; specifying system/component performance and interface requirements; and developing installation, integration, and acceptance test plans. Continuously assess existing organizational processes and work products to ensure they best facilitate strategic and tactical efforts. Coordinate with customers, project teams, and related organizations to ensure solutions satisfy the requirements. Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for the solutions developed by the product teams.
Required Experience:
-
Candidates must possess relevant professional experience working with engineering systems throughout one or more phases of the system lifecycle, with a demonstrated understanding of how engineering activities, processes, and decisions evolve from initial concept through system retirement.
-
Relevant experience may include involvement in system conception, requirements development, architecture, design, engineering development, integration, verification and validation, testing, production, manufacturing, distribution or deployment, operations, maintenance, sustainment, technical support, modification, modernization, and decommissioning.
-
Experience should demonstrate the candidate’s ability to apply sound engineering principles and practices within the applicable lifecycle phase(s), while considering system performance, reliability, safety, quality, cost, schedule, risk, and operational requirements.
-
Candidates may have gained this experience through direct engineering responsibilities, systems engineering activities, technical program support, lifecycle management, integration and test activities, production or deployment support, operations and sustainment, or other closely related engineering functions.
-
Relevant experience is not limited to a single lifecycle phase; experience spanning multiple phases of an engineering system’s lifecycle is highly desirable and may be particularly valuable for positions requiring a broad systems perspective.
-
Candidates should be able to demonstrate how their engineering experience contributed to the development, delivery, operation, sustainment, improvement, or retirement of complex engineering systems, including collaboration with cross-functional engineering, technical, program, manufacturing, operations, and support organizations.
-
Experience with systems that require ongoing configuration management, performance monitoring, upgrades, maintenance, technical support, or lifecycle transition is also considered relevant.
The depth and applicability of experience will be evaluated based on the complexity of the systems involved, the candidate’s level of responsibility, the scope of engineering activities performed, and the extent to which the experience aligns with the requirements of the position.
Required Education:
Qualified candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Level 0: Bachelor's degree in engineering (computer science, mathematics, or physics) and no experience,
Level 1: Bachelor's degree in engineering (computer science, mathematics, or physics) plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus 1year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 0 years of relevant experience.

Level 3: Bachelor's degree in engineering (computer science, mathematics, or physics) plus 10 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
Degree must be in Engineering or a relevant technical field (for example, computer science, mathematics, or physics).
Salary Range: $80,100 - $206,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, BCT-LLC considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
