The System Engineer I is responsible for Performing manual testing of medical device software applications and systems. including end-to-end integration workflows. Create, review, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans. Analyze software functionality and workflows to identify potential issues and ensure alignment with product requirements.
This position reports to the Associate Technical Manager and is part of the Instrument Integration Department located in Bengaluru, India and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Analyze software functionality and workflows to identify potential issues and ensure alignment with product requirements.
Document and report system issues clearly, accurately, and concisely, providing sufficient detail for engineering teams to replicate and resolve.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, quality assurance, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective actions for system-level issues.
Designing automated experimental workflows and Integrating instruments with software pipelines
Continuously improve testing processes and provide feedback to enhance product quality and user experience.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any relevant discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer Science, etc.).
Strong expertise in manual testing for medical device software systems. Strong analytical thinking to identify diverse workflows, design effective test scenarios, and optimize test coverage.
Proven experience in software system integration testing. Proven experience in end-to-end testing. Experience in workflow-based testing and validation.
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of automation concepts and testing practices. Familiarity with lab workflow automation.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Healthcare Medical Device Knowledge
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
ISTQB certification would be a plus.
Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills to validate AI-generated outputs and apply sound judgment.
