The Opportunity
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a System Engineer to join our Enterprise Infrastructure team. This role will substantially impact the security of Grammarly's product offerings and services. User trust is our top priority, so our new System Engineer’s impact will be dramatic. Every day of this person’s work at Grammarly, their decisions and actions will have a direct impact on the millions of users who trust personal content and rely on Grammarly product offerings daily. This person will drive meaningful changes across the corporate identity and access management workflows. They will have the opportunity to advocate for security and process improvements while balancing these changes with the speed of growth.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to enhance corporate infrastructure services such as Identity and Access Management, Endpoint Management, and Networking.

As a System Engineer, you will
- Be responsible for maintaining and expanding enterprise infrastructure and services.
- Design and improve the corporate environment for both external and internal SaaS.
- Oversee hardware network infrastructure in Ukraine, Germany, and Poland.
- Manage the zero-trust network access service.
- Administer corporate infrastructure and services (Corporate Identity, MDMs, Cloud services).
- Integrate corporate infrastructure and services.
- Automate key corporate infrastructure processes.
- Collaborate with the platform team to maintain AWS infrastructure.
- Work closely with the engineering team to create and maintain test environments and labs.
- Provide L3 troubleshooting and support for corporate infrastructure and services.
- Enhance the security level of corporate infrastructure and services.
- Ensure the availability and integrity of information systems through service monitoring, change management, and data accuracy.
- Develop infrastructure documentation for end users.
- Partner with the Cloud Infrastructure team to maintain AWS infrastructure.
- Provide L3 troubleshooting and support.
- Enhance self-service features, reporting, and alerting via automation.
Qualifications
- Experience with Python automatization of routine tasks, reports, lambdas, etc.
- Network fundamentals knowledge.
- Terraform (managing resources, deploy infra).
- Experience in AWS (Lambda, ECS).
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical, diagnostics, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems at scale.
- You are a great communicator and active listener.
- A strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to see things through to completion at high quality.
- Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.

- Is able to meet in person for their team’s scheduled collaboration weeks, traveling if necessary to the hub where their team is based.
It will be a plus to have the following:
- Writing code by using Golang, PowerShell, Bash.
- Experiences with Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure platforms.
- Experience in building solutions under different certification controls (ISO, SOC 2, FedRAMP, SOX, NIST, CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model).
- Securing communications TCP/IP stack, SSL/TLS, domain records, certificates, PKI, encryption, hashing, OAuth2.
- Experience with ZTNA tools (Cloudflare).
