Job Description -
Design and support data networks for WSI data centers, corporate facilities, retail stores, distribution centers, call centers, and eCommerce environment. Design, develop, implement, and support network solutions for IT projects.
Specific Responsibilities
• Participates in requirements gathering and solution design
• Manages resource capacity plans
• Provides input to system capacity plans
• Participates, in installation and configuration activities
• Develops and maintains procedures and system documentation
• Performs systems resource optimization activities
• Participates, in major updates supporting new requirements and maintaining systems currency
• Participates in implementing resource management and monitoring methods and tools
• Works on many phases of a project, or entire projects of moderate complexity
• Monitors and administers system access and resources
• Participates in systems management, and Security Compliance activities
• Supports resolution of production incidents
• Provides work breakdown planning and estimation
• Reviews and evaluates the team’s estimates
• Their work and their domain
• Identifies feature and module dependencies
• Proposes mitigation plans for identified risks and problems
• Suggests process improvements and best practices
• Identifies new areas that could be measured
• Iterates and improves upon stable technologies and processes
• Interacts with team members, other IT teams, business users, individual contributors, managers
• Works with contract resources, providing guidance and assessing the quality of work
• Sphere of influence is small group of peers
• Actively shares technical knowledge within domain with their team and others
• Mentors co-workers within area of expertise
• Improves others productivity
• Participates in staff recruiting

Skills Required
- Design and support data networks across data centers and enterprise sites
- Participate in requirements gathering and solution design for network projects
- Install, configure, and maintain network systems and related infrastructure
- Develop and maintain procedures, system documentation, and runbooks
- Perform capacity planning and systems resource optimization
- Participate in security compliance and systems management activities
- Troubleshoot and support production incidents
- Mentor peers, share technical knowledge, and participate in recruiting
