System Designer for Data management (h/f)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Data and Communication Systems Engineer to join our Connectivity and Data Systems department based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team developing systems to collect, process, and transmit data from the aircraft to the ground. As a member of the systems design team, you will be involved in designing both on-board and ground-based systems to provide high-speed transmission capabilities. Your initial task will be to develop tools for sorting and classifying videos to feed artificial intelligence machine learning models, by integrating parameters collected by the aircraft. Other associated activities will follow, including defining image recognition requirements for a future aircraft, estimating image recognition performance, large-scale data processing on the ground, interfacing with the aircraft, and then integrating into an on-board system. In the medium term, you will also be expected to acquire expertise in embedded systems design from our team.

• Develop data processing tools.

• Understand the certification challenges required for adding artificial intelligence-based elements to an aircraft.

• Define and design systems that meet certification requirements while leveraging the latest technologies for a rapid time-to-market.

• Understand customer needs and ensure system compliance with customer expectations.

• Acquire a dual skillset in both data processing and the definition of an embedded computer.

• You are a recent graduate and have a good academic understanding of embedded systems.

• You have good knowledge of data processing systems.

• You are familiar with the principles of artificial intelligence and know how to prepare data to feed deep learning models.

• You are aware of the key factors for designing effective hardware and software solutions.

• You are always curious to learn and enthusiastic about taking on new challenges.
