Job Overview- System Analyst I

This position reports to the Administrative IT Manager. This role does not supervise any positions. It requires a highly capable problem-solver to optimize the organization’s banking core and ancillary systems. Responsible for evaluating and maintaining performance, collaborating with the IT Team and other teams in the organization to increase system efficiencies, resolve issues, and monitor system security. Success factors will be driven by in-depth knowledge of the banking core and ancillary systems and the ability to progress quickly, efficiently, and securely. You will be an empowering mentor that will be:

QualificationsSkills and Experience- System Analyst I
  • Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. 
  • Certification(s) - Associate-level certification preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience in major systems support/administration.
  • Strong customer service skills with willingness to assist others.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, particularly when communicating complex information.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate with IT and other departments and personnel.
Skills and Experience- System Analyst II
  • Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. 
  • Certification(s) - Associate level certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience in major systems support/administration.
  • Strong customer service skills with willingness to assist others.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, particularly when communicating complex information.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate with IT and other departments and personnel.

Role Description and Essential Duties- I

  • Responsible for proactive and preventive monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing the banking core and ancillary systems. Collaborating with other departments to constantly look for ways to improve our services to our team members and members. Ensuring systems are available when needed and proper business continuity and recovery plans are in place and tested regularly. Works with the Desktop Support team to create system installation and troubleshooting guides.  Provide non-business intelligence data extracts as requested.
  • Reviews, grants, and maintains system rights to end users. Reviews system security logs and participates in reviews and remediations of any security incidents.  Reviews backup logs and recommends data backup/retention improvements for system recovery.  When needed, it aids end users in accessing systems.  Troubleshoots problems with systems and involves vendors as needed for support. Assists in desktop support when issues are related to supported systems. Maintain effective lines of communication with the organizational leaders and the Business Process Solutions team regarding pertinent issues. Provides training for Information Technology staff in supporting core and ancillary systems. 
  • Participate in formal and informal learning opportunities. Remain informed on current financial technology trends. 
  • Proactively collaborate between departments to enhance processes and new partnerships. Maintain good external relations with vendors and community partners.
  • Enhance systems security and document processes. Work with vendors and ensure systems are implemented to meet best practices. 
  • Compliance with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations and Customer Identification Program (CIP). Attends required annual BSA training and required compliance training.
  • Assist with all other duties as assigned or identified.
