ECS is seeking a System Administrator to work remotely.
The Application Administrator for the DISA Storefront platform is responsible for the technical support, maintenance, patching, and optimization of the application system. This role ensures the high availability and efficiency of the Storefront, which serves as a key, Amazon-like single point of entry for DoW service provisioning. The administrator will manage the application across Windows and Linux environments, apply critical Oracle patches, and provide proactive support to users, including on-call support for emergency, after-hours maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance & Patching: Perform routine, timely updates, and patches to application systems, specifically including Windows, Linux, and Oracle databases/middleware (WebLogic, etc.).
- Availability & Monitoring: Monitor system performance and proactively maintain high availability, ensuring the Storefront remains operational with minimal, authorized downtime.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze server resource consumption and tune applications/databases to maintain peak efficiency.
- Customer Support & Inquiries: Respond to customer inquiries regarding system status, functionality, and performance in a professional manner.
- Emergency Response & After-Hours Work: Provide emergency response if the system is unavailable (on-call rotation). Must be available for occasional nights/weekends for authorized maintenance, security patching, and system upgrades.
- Security Compliance: Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) to maintain system security.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes.
Salary Range: $99,000 - $120,000

Preferred Qualifications- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in application administration, including experience in a DoD or federal environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience with Linux (RHEL preferred) and Windows Server administration.
- Proficiency in Oracle database administration and patching (CPU/PSU).
- Experience with web application servers (Apache, IIS).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in a multi-server environment.
- Experience with scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
- Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance required.
