Leidos Chief Information Security Office within our Digital Modernization sector is seeking a System Administrator at our Liberty Center location in Chantilly, VA. You must currently have a TS/SCI clearance and be willing and able to pass and maintain a polygraph clearance.
What will you do in this role?
In this role you will provide technical analysis in Microsoft Server and Workstation planning, engineering, and design. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping multiple mission contracts. This position will be integral to the modernization of our interconnected WANs, to include the implementation of growing Customer requirements and the integration of acquired/merged assets. Day-to-day focus will be on the support of multiple programs and projects housed at the Chantilly location, and you will be responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance of the systems. The position will serve as a technical expert in system administration for complex operating systems, to include making recommendations for redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. You will investigate and analyze feasibility of system requirements and develop system specifications. Identify methods, solutions, and provide project leadership and management to provide a high level of service for internal and external customers.
Primary Responsibilities

Collaborate with Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for system compliance as per Government standards.

Perform patch and security configuration activities to ensure Windows endpoints are properly secured and up to date.

Document status updates and communicate to necessary parties.

Be able to maintain and configure local area networks (LAN) and support WANs, Configure, and deploy Windows servers, Windows OS workstations, and client workstation software in a network domain environment.

Manage backup, disaster recovery, and maintain high/continuous availability

Willing to learn new technologies taking training and hands on experience.
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred, (additional 4 years’ experience and certifications accepted in lieu of degree) with 12+ years of experience in IT/Engineering activities and maintaining classified networks. An Associate degree and 14+ or High School Diploma/GED and 16+ years' experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret SCI clearance, with a willingness to pass and hold a polygraph clearance.

Candidates must possess a DOD 8570 IAM Level 1 / IAT Level 2 certification.

Experience with System Administration in a Windows desktop and Server operating system environment.

Demonstrate good communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Prior experience with patching and remediation of vulnerability findings.

Demonstrate strong knowledge in Windows server management skills, with a good understanding of Group Policy.

Experienced with Active Directory Server, DNS, and Exchange Servers.

Demonstrated experience with Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022.

Experience managing and maintaining workstation, server, and printer hardware

Possess solid customer service and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team

Experience with Enterprise patching solutions
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Exchange Server

Experience with storage solutions such as NetApp or EMC

Experience with multiple Active Directory forests and Group Policy configuration

On-site Government IT support experience

Experience with Multifactor Authentication (MFA)

Pay Range:Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
