Role Overview:As a System Administrator, you will maintain high-performance computing (HPC) clusters and infrastructure to support HFT operations. This role requires a blend of hardware expertise, system optimization, and a passion for the latest technological advancements.
- Maintain and upgrade of in-house high-performance computing clusters. Explore and evaluate high-bandwidth networks and storage solutions to enhance cluster performance.
- Administer, monitor, and deploy performance tracking utilities to ensure that the HPC functions efficiently and datacentre operations run smoothly. Ex: Graphana, Prometheus
- Maintenance of Inter and Intra DC connectivity
- Manage access for various resources and utilities.
- Hardware and software setup for new resources being installed or for maintenance for the old resources.
- Debugging/Issue Resolution/Verification for bugs coming up on day to day operations basis.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software developers on cross-functional projects.
- Conduct performance analysis, and system testing.
- Document findings, designs, and optimization strategies.
- Contribute to automation and workflow improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in network/system engineering.
- Working knowledge in Python is a plus
- Knowledge in Linux and shell scripting is a plus
- Interest in problem-solving and understanding complex systems.
- Strong communication skills and a consistent, disciplined work ethic.
- A mindset geared toward process automation.
- Plus: Drive initiatives in developing and researching state-of-the-art hardware components. Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements, contributing innovative hardware solutions.
- Certifications like RHCSA, RHCE, or CCNA/CCNP are a plus
