Job Description
Administer, secure, and optimize the organization's Microsoft 365 environment, covering the Office 365 tenant, email security, identity, and device management. The role focuses on hands-on administration of Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Proofpoint, Okta, and Intune, building automations with Power Automate, and enabling Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption in a secure, compliant, and ITIL-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant, including licensing, service health monitoring, and admin center operations.
- Manage Exchange Online mailboxes, groups, transport rules, mail flow troubleshooting, and message trace.
- Handle email recovery, retention policies, litigation hold, and eDiscovery requests.
- Administer SharePoint Online and OneDrive, including provisioning, permissions, sharing policies, sync issues, and offboarding data recovery.
- Manage Proofpoint email security policies, quarantine and release, and phishing protection.
- Administer Okta user and group lifecycle, SSO application integrations, provisioning rules, and MFA policies.
- Manage Intune MDM, including enrollment, compliance and configuration policies, app deployment, and device wipe and retire.
- Build Power Automate flows to automate onboarding, offboarding, approvals, and routine IT tasks.
- Support Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing, configuration, usage reporting, and user enablement.
- Manage incidents, requests, and changes in line with ITIL practices and SLAs, and maintain runbooks and documentation.
- Support DLP, conditional access, and periodic access reviews to ensure security and audit compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong expertise in Exchange Online administration, including mail flow, recovery, and retention.
- Hands-on experience administering SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
- Experience with Proofpoint or an equivalent email security gateway.
- Hands-on Okta administration experience, including SSO, provisioning, groups, and MFA.
- Practical experience with Intune MDM.
- Experience building Power Automate flows and automations.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot configuration and adoption.
- PowerShell scripting skills for Microsoft 365 administration and reporting.
- ITIL certification and experience working in an ITIL-aligned environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Purview for DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, and eDiscovery.
- Working knowledge of Entra ID, conditional access, and identity governance.
- Experience with Microsoft Graph API or Graph PowerShell for automation and reporting.
- Exposure to ITSM platforms such as FreshService, ServiceNow, or Jira Service Management.
- Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102), Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), or Okta Certified Administrator.
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech/BCA/MCA, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
