Job Description
The System Administrator is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and security of the platform infrastructure.
The work:
- Perform hands-on system administration tasks, including managing user accounts, permissions, and system configurations in accordance with established operational policies.
- Implement and maintain system monitoring tools, configure and manage backup and recovery systems, and automate routine administrative tasks using scripting and automation tools.
- Conduct regular system health checks, apply system updates and patches to mitigate vulnerabilities, and serve as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- The System Administrator will maintain system documentation, monitor system logs for performance and security anomalies, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 platform availability.
Must have:

- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.

- Must meet DoD 8140 requirements
Nice to have:
- Experience with VMware/VSphere for virtual machine management.
- Experience with AIX
- Experience with Server management, Group policy, Security, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
- Experience with Supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers. Created partitions, hardened, configured connectivity, etc
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. - Must meet DoD 8140 requirements
- Active security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph depending on position)
- Experience with VMware/vSphere for virtual machine management
- Experience with AIX
- Experience with server management, group policy, and security hardening
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) including partitioning and hardening
- Experience with system monitoring tools, backup and recovery systems, and scripting/automation tools
