WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a System Administrator at EOS IT Logistics, you will be pivotal in maintaining and improving the functionality and performance of client's printer infrastructure. Your role encompasses managing print servers, collaborating with internal client teams for server upgrades and resource control, handling the creation and decommissioning of GST-controlled resources, creating new printer entries on client's print servers, managing driver creation, providing technical support for client-controlled resources on-site and off-site, acting as a secondary point of contact for client escalations/vendors, innovating and improving processes, maintaining the client SOP wiki, implementing SOP changes, and programming Secure Print badge readers using third-party utility.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. **Print Server Management:**

- Maintain and optimize the printer infrastructure, with a focus on client's print servers, for optimal performance.

- Ensure the availability and reliability of printing services.

 

2. **Collaboration with Internal client Teams:**

- Work closely with internal client teams to push server upgrades and manage the creation/decommission of GST-controlled resources.

 

3. **Printer Entry Management:**

- Handle the creation of new printer entries on client's print servers, ensuring accurate configuration.

 

4. **Driver Management:**

- Manage the creation of new drivers for client's printing devices and ensure compatibility with the infrastructure.

 

5. **Technical Support:**

- Provide on-site and off-site technical support for client-controlled resources.

- Act as a point of contact for client escalations and vendors.

 

6. **Process Innovation:**

- Identify opportunities to create and innovate new and existing processes to improve operational efficiency.

 

7. **SOP Maintenance:**

- Work to maintain the client SOP wiki, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

- Implement changes to SOPs based on evolving client requirements.

 

8. **Secure Print Badge Reader Programming:**

- Program Secure Print badge readers for client using third-party utility, ensuring proper functionality and security.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCED:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of print server management and printer infrastructure.

- Experience with server upgrades, resource creation/decommissioning, and vendor management.

- Proficiency in creating and managing drivers for printing devices.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills for client-controlled resources.

- Familiarity with SOP maintenance and process improvement.

 

PREFFERED SKILS:

- Certifications in system administration (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, CompTIA Server+).

- Experience in programming Secure Print badge readers.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
