You will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, troubleshoot complex system issues, optimize system performance and resource utilization, and support users in accessing and effectively using IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and UNIX/Linux systems
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
- Support client/server, storage, network, and related IT infrastructure
- Install, configure, patch, and maintain operating systems and system components
- Support Active Directory, Group Policy, and network services including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Support virtualization, containerization, and system automation
- Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and resource utilization
- Troubleshoot hardware and system issues through resolution
- Document and communicate escalated issues, status, and resolutions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Windows and UNIX/Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience
- Experience supporting client/server, storage, and network infrastructure
- Familiarity with Bash and/or PowerShell scripting
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network services
- Familiarity with VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Docker, or similar technologies
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, or ELK
- Understanding of system security, patching, and configuration best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Education and Experience:
- Ten (10) years of System Administration experience supporting programs or environments of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) additional years of System Administration experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree
Certifications:
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE or another qualifying IAT Level II certification, is required.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
