Serving as Systems Administrator III, being a caregiver starts in the office, where you will focus on evaluating essential software, maintaining Disaster Recovery procedures and ensuring system safety and integrity. As part of our IT and Cybersecurity team, you will do more than explore and expand your discipline and skills — your work will impact patients across the globe. A caregiver in this role works a flexible hybrid schedule Monday through Friday in Northeast Ohio from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with on-call responsibilities one week per month for seven days and no travel requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Ensure servers and workstations are maintained at the highest level of availability, reliability and performance.
Provide consulting.
Provide input for computing standards, policies and procedures.
Independently evaluate potential hardware and software products.
Configure, install and maintain departmental file and application servers and workstations.
Maintain system integrity through security and backups.
Maintain disaster recovery procedures.
Administer departmental network.
Add and delete users, reset passwords and support applications.
Administer departmental application licenses.
Serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex endpoint issues that cannot be resolved by System Administrator I and II.
Perform deep technical troubleshooting across hardware, operating systems and application layers.
Lead root cause analysis and drive permanent resolution of recurring issues.
Ensure high levels of endpoint availability, performance and user satisfaction.
Support enterprise lifecycle activities including deployment, refresh, recovery and retirement of endpoint devices.
Ensure endpoint configurations align with operational standards and caregiver needs.
Identify gaps in current processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Partner with Field Services and asset management teams to ensure smooth execution of lifecycle programs.
Identify opportunities to streamline lifecycle support through automation and standardization.
Contribute to the development of scripts, procedures and workflows in coordination with engineering teams.
Support adoption of new endpoint capabilities introduced by Client Engineering.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma/GED
Four years of experience in information systems
Experience in network administration, workstation/server troubleshooting, personal computer and UNIX architectures and interface components
Experience installing and configuring file systems, network operating systems, shells scripting and automating management processes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
In some locations, ability to move up to 50 lbs.
