RESPONSIBILITIES
- Systems Administration: Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, network devices, and software applications. Ensure systems are up-to-date with security patches and firmware updates. Monitor system performance and resource utilization with a focus on availability and efficiency.
- Help Desk and Technical Support: Provide Tier II support for end-users, including troubleshooting stand-alone laptops, workstations, and peripheral devices. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to senior personnel as appropriate.
- Security Compliance: Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies aligned with IAT Level 2 standards. Manage access controls, maintain security baselines, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and organizational standards.
- System Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct proactive monitoring to identify areas for optimization and risk mitigation. Generate and deliver reports detailing system health, incident response, and maintenance activities.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on system configurations, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and change management activities.
- Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional IT teams to support integration, upgrades, and project implementations. Provide training and guidance to junior staff or new hires as needed.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of professional experience in systems administration, to include experience with help desk related support, for example troubleshooting stand-alone laptops, is preferred.
- An ACTIVE minimum Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position. (We are not able to sponsor clearances at this time.)
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- An Associate's degree or higher from accredited college/university in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Need to possess an active IAT-II cert or higher (i.e., Security+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, SSCP, etc.).
