DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
- The System Administrator I will create and maintain network access to the systems at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. This position will be responsible for quickly setting up network accounts for all LCMH employees as well as vendors and contractor staff. This role will also work with the System Administrators 2 and 3 to learn and help implement new systems and upgrades as needed.
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Manager of Network Operations
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Strong skill in supporting applications and systems including hardware and software
- Manage user accounts, create, update, and remove access as necessary.
- Knowledge in the administration and use of the following: Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows 7 and 10, Exchange 2016 and Office 365 is a plus.
- Trouble shoot access issues
- Strong skill in creating and maintaining technical documentation.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year in an IT environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; Ability to communicate effectively and calmly with physicians, employees, vendors, and other medical personnel. Constitutional disposition capable of remaining productive for extended periods of time during problem resolution and new systems implementation.
- Must possess a high level of patience and tenacity; Capable of rapid problem identification and resolution; Capable of clear and succinct verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be adaptable to change and receptive to delegated responsibilities.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Capable of performing light to medium duty physical tasks.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information with patients, family, peers and medical personnel.

- Must be available for on call
