ECS is seeking an experienced Cyber Infrastructure System Administrator to work remotely providing infrastructure support for the work performed under this contract for NIH NIAID Enabling and Advancing Technologies (NEAT). All other tasks are intended to facilitate the implementation and operation of Network and Cybersecurity. This engagement supports current and future technologies including evaluating, planning for, and implementing new technologies in the NIAID and NIH environment in response to changing business strategies, policy, and regulatory changes.

The Cyber Infrastructure System Administrator is responsible for supervising and managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
- Plan and monitor the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization, and perform systems capacity analysis and planning.
- Plan and monitor assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. Commensurate experience and education.
- Collect, store, and analyze data relevant to monitored applications to perform and report accurate root causal analysis of all related issues and to support trend analysis and forecasting.
- Ensure effective change management of all OCICB-supported software applications.
- Minimum 6 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, systems, and applications, including support teams and ensuring quality of service operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security or related field.
- Active Public Trust or higher security clearance.
- Strong supervisory skills in managing system configuration and operation.
- In-depth knowledge of optimizing system operations and resource utilization.
- Proficiency in performing systems capacity analysis and planning.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to assist users in accessing business systems.
- Extensive experience working with mainframe, mini, and client/server-based systems.
- Experience monitoring systems for unanticipated issues and reporting on systems performance metrics.
- Experience applying troubleshooting techniques across various server, application, and network technologies.
- Experience with security standards and best practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Reside within the Washington DC Metro area.
- Travel within the Washington DC Metro Area, and CONUS as needed.
