Position Objective: Provide services as a System Administrator III in support of the overall functions of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support enterprise cloud and SaaS operations by onboarding and administering SaaS platforms, managing identity and access controls, and performing routine system troubleshooting.
- Apply foundational knowledge of AWS services and cloud administration to maintain secure, reliable system environments.
- Support authentication and authorization integrations, including SAML and OIDC, to ensure seamless user access across applications.
- Troubleshoot web based applications, monitor system performance, and assist in maintaining system documentation, security compliance, and operational continuity.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues and enhance system reliability.
Basic Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED
- 6 or more years of system administration experience required
- 2–4 years of experience with onboarding SaaS systems
- 2–4 years of experience with Identity and Access Management
- 2–4 years of experience with SAML tracer, SAML decoder, SAML or OIDC tokens, and SSO certificates
- 2–4 years of experience with AWS cloud management and administration
- 2–4 years of experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, SNS, Route 53, Backup, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting web based application issues
- Knowledge of network fundamentals, including DNS, subnetting, firewalls, IP addressing, or CIDR
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance or other applicable security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SaaS products supporting:
– Document Management
– Electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD) Management Systems
– Quality Management Systems
– Clinical Data Systems
– Trial Master File Systems
– Electronic Lab Notebooks
– Specimen Management Systems
- Experience with scripting and automation
- Experience with security vulnerability remediation
- Knowledge of Computer Systems Validation principles (IQ, OQ, PQ)
- AWS Certification
