Description

Markon is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the Fort Meade customer by maintaining secure, reliable computing environments that support mission-critical operations. This role administers enterprise infrastructure, automates routine maintenance, resolves technical issues, and improves system availability across complex environments. This position sustains dependable technology platforms that enable efficient operations and support evolving mission requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and sustain Linux-based systems and AWS cloud environments.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, patching, and recurring operations.
  • Implement DevOps practices that improve deployment speed, consistency, and reliability.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, performance, security, and service availability.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, cloud, network, and application integration issues.
  • Manage user access, permissions, certificates, secrets, and system configurations.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows for mission applications.
  • Implement system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
  • Document architectures, configurations, operating procedures, and recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and security teams to modernize enterprise infrastructure.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience administering Linux-based enterprise systems.
  • Experience supporting AWS cloud environments and services.
  • Experience applying DevOps practices to infrastructure deployment and sustainment.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, configuration management, or infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting system, network, application, and cloud-service issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • AWS certification.
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms, centralized logging, and performance monitoring.
Salary RangeUSD $150,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
