We combine deep revenue cycle expertise, a global workforce, and advanced technology across analytics, AI, intelligent automation, and workflow orchestration to help healthcare organizations improve performance at scale.

As a System Access Specialist, you will support R1 service lines by helping users secure and maintain access to client systems. You will manage access requests through a ticketing system, serve as a liaison between internal users and client contacts, and maintain the documentation teams rely on to support hundreds of healthcare clients. This fully remote role is a strong fit for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable communicating with customers, and able to work independently.

In this role, you will work with internal users, clients, vendors, and business partners to resolve access needs, track open requests, and keep client-specific instructions and troubleshooting resources current. Healthcare or hospital experience is helpful, but the work is trainable for a candidate with strong customer service, documentation, and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities
  • Process and manage user access requests across multiple R1 service lines and client systems.
  • Track, prioritize, and follow up on outstanding requests, tasks, incidents, and assignments through a ticketing system.
  • Provision and deprovision user access at the end-user and application levels.
  • Monitor existing access issues and partner with users and client contacts to resolve missing or delayed access.
  • Maintain accurate client job aids, access trackers, process documentation, and end-user troubleshooting guides.
  • Respond to internal and external questions regarding access status and next steps.
  • Maintain timely communication with client points of contact and provide status updates to System Access leadership.
  • Participate in client touchpoints and collaborate with clients, vendors, Operations, Client Experience, and other business teams.
  • Handle confidential information in accordance with healthcare privacy and security requirements.
Required Skills
  • 2+ years of customer service, help desk, system access, or related support experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess priorities, organize work, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while using available tools and resources effectively.
  • Comfort managing multiple requests at once and documenting process changes accurately.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting healthcare organizations, hospital systems, health information management, or revenue cycle operations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record or hospital systems such as Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, MEDITECH, or STAR.
  • Experience working in an online ticketing platform such as Salesforce or ServiceNow.
  • Experience supporting users or clients across multiple time zones in a remote environment.
