Job Description
- Lead the design, development, and integration of
high-end automotive interior switches (e.g., capacitive touch, haptic
feedback, multi-function switches) for premium vehicle programs.
- Define system and component requirements for
interior switch modules, including tactile feel, lighting, and haptic
response.
- Collaborate with UX,HMI and styling teams to
align switch design with brand experience and premium vehicle aesthetics.
- Manage supplier development activities, including
hardware/software release planning, quality reviews, and cost
negotiations.
- Define and oversee validation plans for interior
switches, ensuring compliance with OEM standards and global regulations
(FMVSS, ECE, ISO).
- Work closely with system, body electronics and
infotainment teams to define communication interfaces such as CAN and LIN.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical,
and software integration issues during development, testing, and
production phases.
- Support HIL/SIL testing, in-vehicle validation,
and functional testing of interior switch systems.
- Support plant production teams for build issues,
deviation handling, and continuous improvement.
RequirementsQualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachler/master's degree preferably in Mechanical/Electrical/
Electronics /automotive engineering
- Strong knowledge of interior switch technologies,
including:
- Capacitive touch panels
- Haptic feedback systems
- Illuminated and backlit switches
- Mechanical design principles
- Understanding of vehicle networks (CAN and LIN)
- Knowledge of ECU software development lifecycle and
embedded electronics.
- Familiarity with global automotive standards,
including FMVSS, ECE regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead root
cause investigations.
- Exposure to luxury car UX and HMI design principles is
a strong advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in switch design and
development
