Job Purpose:
- The Production Machinist (Level 1) at Precision Medical Technologies is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality medical components. This role is crucial in ensuring that all products meet industry standards and client specifications, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor CNC machines and other production equipment to manufacture medical components according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments to machinery as required.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and improve production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Document production activities and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of new machinery and production techniques.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and provide support in resolving technical challenges.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a vocational program in machining or a related field is preferred.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a medical device or precision machining industry.
- Experience with operating and maintaining CNC machines and manual machining equipment.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product quality and precision.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic machining issues independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine operation software.
