SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The purpose of this job is to assist the truck driver with the safe loading, unloading and delivery of pump parts, sucker rods and other equipment to client sites.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Take directions from truck driver.
  • Assist in cleaning and inspecting vehicle and trailer.
  • Operate loader equipment for the loading and unloading of ELS materials.
  • Assist in loading, securing, and unloading truck manually.
  • Help secure loads as per direction of the Operator/Driver.
  • Help the driver with hook-up of trailer units and with pre/post trip inspections.
  • Make proper labor and time reports.
  • Ensure all required safety equipment is in unit prior to doing job.
  • Assist in housekeeping tasks.
  • Operate a forklift as required.
  • Assist with Assembly when not scheduled to deliver material.
  • Ensure the protection of company property and all other assets.
  • Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations.
  • Other duties as required. Duties and responsibilities may vary based upon individual site requirements.

Requirements

EHS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company’s TRIR goals
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals
  • Complete, and actively participate in all the company’s safety training requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education/Training: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude preferred.
  • Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills: Work well with others.
  • Forklift Truck Certificate as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to follow direction.
  • Travel Requirements: Over 80% travel to client sites. Little or no overnight travel.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time, including sitting in a vehicle; a minimum of 2 hours and often up to 6 hours.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of a pump shop or warehouse, and to all allowable areas of a well site or other job sites.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely mount and dismount from the back of a truck, and bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools such as a wench.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace.
  • Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude
