The NCR Voyix Restaurants Back Office team is focused on building the next generation of software for restaurants of all sizes to manage their business by optimizing labor and inventory as well as providing real-time insights into their business.

Restaurant operators need to spend their valuable time managing customer relationships and providing a unique restaurant experience. NCR Voyix will handle providing actionable, predictive information to improve profitability and overall customer experience. NCR Voyix owns the restaurant software industry with more restaurants deployed than any other provider and is uniquely positioned to drive this change in the hospitality business.

As an AI/ML engineering manager on the NCR Voyix Restaurants Back Office, you will lead a team of talented individuals to create modern data pipelines and optimized models to improve profitability and customer experience for restaurant operators. You’ll do it in a manner that is cloud-native, API-first, and powered by AI/ML models designed and created by your team – all the technologies and patterns that will put you and NCR Voyix at the leading edge of restaurant technology. Because so many meals and dining experiences are riding on the quality of our technology, you’ll bring a passion for ensuring that experience is peerless!

Responsibilities:

• Lead development and deployment of AI/ML solutions to a production environment at enterprise scale
• Strong influence on AI/ML roadmap to lead the bridge between the restaurant industry’s business problems and optimization models
• Thought leader for AI/ML and helping steer the organization when to apply AI/ML and how to position the product in the market
• Design AI/ML systems including data pipelines and visualization frameworks
• Mentoring and upskilling junior/intermediate developers on the team

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Master’s degree with AI/ML specialization or equivalent industry experience
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• 7+ Years of hands-on software engineering experience (Python , C++, C#, Java, , etc.)
• 4+ Years of hands-on experience with data analysis - SQL, Pandas, NumPy, etc.
• 3+ Year(s) experience with data visualization (Plotly, MatPlotLib, Grafana, PowerBI, etc.)
• 2+ Years leading production projects leveraging machine learning libraries - Sci-Kit Learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch, or equivalent
• 1+ Year(s) experience creating solutions in native public cloud (GCP, AWS or Azure)
• 1+ Year(s) experience with MLOps (CI/CD/CT)
• Exposure to microservices architectures
• Exposure to distributed computing (Kubernetes, Docker, Kubeflow, etc.)

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

• Extensive experience in GCP
• Experience in thought leadership in specific areas of technology – founding/leading meetups etc.
