SW Engineer II (f/t)

Job Description:

Engineering and development of new software features; Unit test coverage of features developed; Attendance of regular cadence of development team meetings; Rotational leadership of development team meetings; Formulation of communication when new feature development specifications require clarification; Ensuring all individual code developed is deployed to shared Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments and passes quality checks; Ensuring all deployments are fully containerized and deployed following gitops practices; Identifying areas of technical debt in existing applications for remediation; Participation in periodic research activities regarding new technologies and integrations; and Rotational leadership in reporting results of period research activities. The position is eligible for part-time telecommuting.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2 years of experience in a software engineering or web development occupation. Experience must include:

• 2 years of experience in engineering and development of software features.
• 2 years of experience identifying areas of technical debt in existing applications for remediation.
• 2 years of experience ensuring all individual code developed is deployed to shared Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments and passes quality checks.
• 2 years of experience ensuring all deployments are fully containerized and deployed following gitops practices.
• 2 years of experience providing unit test coverage of features developed.

*Any combination of education that has been evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the equivalent of an U.S. degree will be accepted. References required.

OR

Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science or a related technical field and demonstrated knowledge** of the following.

• Engineering and development of software features.
• Identifying areas of technical debt in existing applications for remediation.
• Ensuring all individual code developed is deployed to shared Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments and passes quality checks.
• Ensuring all deployments are fully containerized and deployed following gitops practices.
• Providing unit test coverage of features developed.
