ABOUT GOODR

We create and sell active eyewear for anyone. No Slip. No Bounce. All Polarized. All Fun. Interested in joining our team? Keep reading.

OUR VALUES: We have two core values: Fun & Authenticity.

  • FUN = Being sh*tty isn’t fun. Agreed? Taking pride in your work, finding joy in being GREAT, and celebrating wins… and losses. Now, that’s fun!
  • AUTHENTICITY = Focusing on being authentic over being liked. (Next-level guru stuff. Count it.)

LEADERSHIP: We expect our leaders to be guiding lights for their teams. To support that, we provide leadership courses to sharpen their leadership abilities, including an in-house leadership coach.

Fun Fact: We do not allow email to be sent internally. Carrier pigeons only. JK, we use Slack.

AUTONOMY: We practice autonomy, empowerment, and accountability so that every team member can be in control of their own life.

  • HYBRID WORKING: This role is required to be in our Inglewood office every Tuesday and Thursday with the occasional third day thrown in.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: We have an all-company learning program so that we’re constantly leveling up our skills.

SUSTAINABILITY: We think Earth’s pretty rad. That’s why we take action wherever possible to limit our impact on the planet.

  • 1% FOR THE PLANET MEMBER: 1% of goodr’s annual sales go directly to environmental organizations.
  • CARBON NEUTRAL: In 2019, goodr became a 100% carbon neutral company.

Fun Fact: goodr celebrates every Earth Day by releasing limited-edition sunglasses with frames made from 100% recycled materials—and the packaging is 100% sustainable, too!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Do you look at a mess of legacy technical debt and see a beautiful puzzle instead of a reason to pull your hair out? We’re looking for a digital wizard to architect scalable, cloud-first platforms while ensuring our systems don’t pull a "blue screen of death" during a big launch. You’ll be the one holding the keys to the kingdom, negotiating vendor contracts like a shark and keeping our data more secure than a squirrel’s favorite nut stash.

If you can translate a "strategic roadmap" into plain English without making our eyes glaze over, you’re already halfway there. We need a leader who can kill off useless tech dependencies so we don’t accidentally end up using floppy disks in 2026. If you’re ready to lead our tech empire with high-level genius and a healthy dose of sarcasm, plug yourself in and apply!

RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP

  • Lead by example by consistently living into goodr’s values of Fun and Authenticity
  • Be a culture carrier by leaning into our three fundamentals of communication, professionalism, and vision
  • Hold monthly one-on-ones with each team member to build upon their role duties and hold everyone accountable
  • Ask clear questions, increase everyone’s knowledge, and empower the team so that we can get the best out of every person in your department
  • Give consistent, continuous feedback and challenge your flock to perpetually grow so they become the best version of themselves
  • Own your team’s budget and ensure its accuracy
  • Use imagination and wisdom to set team goals and communicate them clearly
  • Challenge the status quo ALWAYS; the phrase “this is how we’ve always done it” is banned here at goodr, so don’t be afraid to push out of your comfort zone and encourage your team to do the same

ROLE SPECIFIC

  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and administration of the organization’s technology systems, platforms, and equipment
  • Define and execute the enterprise technology strategy and multi-year roadmap, ensuring alignment with company objectives and growth plans
  • Architect and evolve scalable, cloud-first platforms and infrastructure to support rapid growth and operational reliability
  • Oversee enterprise systems, platforms, and network infrastructure to ensure performance, availability, and resiliency
