The SVP and CTO is responsible for shaping the enterprise’s end-to-end technology vision, execution, and innovation strategy. This leader acts as both a systems architect and business integrator—ensuring that technical decisions enable product success, operational excellence, and scalable growth. The SVP will partner deeply with Product, R&D, Data Analytics, and Operation functions to deliver platform stability and drive forward-looking digital capability development.

​Role Responsibilities:

  • Own the enterprise technology strategy and multi-year roadmap in alignment with product, engineering, and business unit objectives.
  • Oversee technical delivery and operations, including software engineering, platform architecture, and infrastructure.
  • Serve as executive partner to Product leadership, helping to align engineering priorities with customer needs, market trends, and business unit goals.
  • Guide enterprise architecture decisions, balancing innovation with scalability, compliance, and maintainability.
  • Lead modernization of legacy systems and champion adoption of new technologies across the product and infrastructure landscape.
  • Build and develop high-performing technology teams and vendor partnerships that scale with Vizient’s growth.
  • Advise executive leadership on technology implications of strategic initiatives, including M&A and platform integrations.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership.
  • 5+ years in C-level, EVP, or divisional CTO roles preferred.
  • Extensive experience leading engineering and technology operations in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to translate technical strategy into cross-functional product outcomes.
  • Strong background in enterprise architecture, software design, and cloud-native systems.
  • History of leading teams through both high-growth scaling and operational transformation.
  • Deep partnership experience with Product, R&D, and GTM teams on platform and service integration.
  • Ability to shape and support product strategy through technology design and investment trade-offs.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, privacy frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST), and secure system design.
  • Strong grasp of financial modeling for technology investments, including ROI analysis for platform transformation.

The current salary range for this role is $350,500.00 to $500,00.00.

This position is short and long term incentive eligible.
