The Role

Job Overview: 

The SVP of Internal Communications will lead the development and execution of comprehensive employee communication strategies, fostering employee engagement and nurturing a values-led culture throughout the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive, enterprise-wide communication strategies, frameworks, calendars, creative initiatives and measurable outcomes that support the company’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives. 

  • Lead an integrated communications council that collaborates to drive an employee-centric model for engagement and advocacy, developing a one-to-many through to one-to-one communication strategies and memorable/measurable tactics. Coordinate across multiple business units to ensure consistent, clear and frequent messaging that connects with the company’s mission and values.

  • Manage a high performing team of communicators with a focus on continuous development, skill enhancement, creative ingenuity and insights-led strategy development.

  • Own and operate the company’s prioritized employee communication channels, including the entire intranet experience. Create new platforms, media formats and content franchises to drive higher engagement with need to know/want to know/actionable messaging.

  • Serve as editor in chief and publisher for corporate-level internal messaging, responsible for delivering high quality content distributed in ways that value our employees’ time and attention.

  • Be a creator, bringing innovative ideas to the forefront and championing a test/learn team culture that lives up to the brand attributes and cultural values of the firm.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure consistent, clear and concise messaging and alignment with corporate goals.

  • Partner with HR Communications, Talent Acquisition, Culture and Engagement, CEO Comms and other organizations to represent the voice of the employee internally and externally.

  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and adjust strategies as needed to improve engagement and impact.

  • Serve as a partner and trusted advisor to Marketing & Communications colleagues and senior leadership on internal communication matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful internal communication strategies.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in media platforms, marketing automation systems, collaboration tools and intranet technology. 


 

Pay Range:

$143,900-$239,800/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
