The Senior Vice President, HR Business Partner (SVP, HRBP) will operate as a trusted advisor to the President and leadership team, providing HR leadership for the global IMG organization. This role will partner with the centralized COE teams, ensuring alignment of HR strategies, processes, and policies, while also tailoring initiatives that meet the specific needs of the IMG workforce.
This is a critical role in shaping the future of the business through people leadership, fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture, and ensuring that the organization remains competitive in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent in a fast-paced global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Serve as a key member of the leadership team, providing strategic HR insights to the President and senior executives.
- Develop and implement people strategies that align with the agency’s business goals and objectives, with a focus on talent acquisition, organizational design, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the centralized HR team to ensure compliance with group-wide policies, while adapting strategies to meet the unique needs of the business.
Talent Management & Development:
- Lead initiatives in talent management, succession planning, and leadership development to foster a pipeline of future leaders.
- Oversee employee development programs, performance management processes, and executive coaching to ensure that the talent base remains highly skilled and competitive.
- Create and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies that enhance the organization’s ability to attract and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Lead the agency’s succession planning efforts to ensure that the business has a strong pipeline of talent at all levels, especially within key leadership roles.
- Oversee and collaborate with recruiting teams to ensure the organization is attracting top talent across the globe, with an emphasis on diversity, culture fit, and relevant industry expertise.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure a seamless recruiting process that aligns with the IMG employer brand and talent needs.
Employee Relations & Culture:
- Drive initiatives that support a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture that reflects the dynamic nature of the sports and media industry.
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues, ensuring that workplace concerns are addressed in a fair, compliant, and consistent manner.
- Act as a cultural steward, promoting an environment of collaboration, transparency, and engagement across the global workforce.
Total Rewards Strategy
- Partner with the Total Rewards teams to develop competitive, equitable, and compensation strategies that attract and retain top talent.
- Ensure that the organization’s compensation strategy aligns with both industry standards and the broader holding company framework, while remaining responsive to the needs of the IMG employees.
- Advise senior leadership on compensation strategies, including executive compensation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market competitiveness.
Organizational Development & Change Management:
- Drive organizational effectiveness through change management initiatives, organizational design, and employee engagement strategies.
- Provide leadership during periods of transformation, ensuring that the workforce remains agile, engaged, and aligned with the company’s goals.
- Lead initiatives in organizational design and development to optimize structure, roles, and talent deployment to support business growth and innovation.
- Partner with executive leadership to manage the HR integration of newly acquired businesses, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with organizational culture and policies.
HR Analytics & Compliance:
- Leverage HR data and analytics to inform decision-making, track key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, employee engagement), and provide insights into talent trends.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all employment legal and regulatory requirements in the regions in which it operates, partnering with legal teams as necessary.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, develop, and lead a best-in-class HR team that operates as trusted advisors and strategic partners to the business.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the HR function by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting the professional development of team members.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a progressive HR leadership position, preferably in a global matrix organization or a fast-paced industry such as media, sports, entertainment, or client services.
- Exceptional stakeholder management
- Deep expertise in HR functions including talent management, employee relations, organizational development, compensation, and benefits.
- Prior experience in or a strong understanding of the sports, entertainment, or media industries is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Senior HR Business Partner or HR Leader at the executive level, with a demonstrated ability to influence and drive results in a complex, dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Experience supporting a global workforce, with an understanding of the nuances of managing HR across different countries and cultures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CIPD Qualified is preferred
