Translate strategy into system design, lead architecture for ERP/CRM/middle-office platforms, set integration standards (APIs, data pipelines, event-driven architectures), evaluate build-vs-buy and AI/LLM solutions, ensure regulatory/SOX compliance, and hold internal teams and vendors accountable to delivery and quality outcomes.
Summary Generated by Built In

Lazard is one of the world’s preeminent financial advisory and asset management firms. Our people and culture make the difference. While global in presence and reach, ours is a close, collaborative community of just over 3,000 professionals. Lazard is a place of continuous knowledge sharing, skill development and relationship building, where professionals grow and succeed together. Our entrepreneurial culture, flat structure and embrace of individual differences, allow creative ideas, original concepts, and unique perspectives to drive our business forward — and for careers to take flight.

In our pursuit of Lazard 2030 and beyond, we’ve created a permanent, embedded transformation capability within Lazard — one that operates with the rigor and pace of a top-tier consulting firm while carrying full accountability for implementation outcomes. We are looking for a senior practitioner to operate at the intersection of business strategy and technology delivery.

You will be the trusted advisor and functional architect for all technology-facing transformation workstreams. From ERP migrations and middle/back-office platform modernization to API integration layers and agentic AI workflow design, you bring the technical depth to credibly lead and the business fluency to drive outcomes with senior stakeholders.

We’ll trust you to

  • Serve as the primary business-facing technology advisor on transformation programs, translating strategic objectives into system design and integration decisions
  • Lead functional architecture across all enterprise technology workstreams, ensuring solutions reflect business needs rather than technical defaults
  • Hold technology teams and external vendors accountable for design quality, integration standards, and delivery outcomes
  • Evaluate build-vs-buy decisions and set AI development standards in the context of business value and risk appetite
  • Ensure all solutions meet regulatory, security, and SOX-compliance requirements while maintaining transformation momentum
  • Act as the senior liaison between business leadership and technology teams throughout the full program lifecycle

You’ll need to have

  • 15+ years working at the intersection of business and technology, with significant experience in a client-facing or consulting capacity (strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into enterprise system architecture and integration design
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, middle/back-office) and integration patterns (APIs, data pipelines, event-driven architectures)
  • Track record of holding technology teams and vendors accountable for outcomes, not just outputs
  • AI/LLM application development and agentic workflow design experience, with sound judgment on build-vs-buy decisions
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (SOX, data privacy, cyber) in financial services, with the ability to design solutions that satisfy control requirements without compromising delivery
  • Executive presence and communication skills to engage senior business stakeholders and technology leadership equally
  • Experience with technology vendor assessment, RFP management, and holding partners accountable to commercial and performance commitments
