Job DescriptionEdelman has experienced significant growth in recent years, reflecting the firm’s continued evolution from a traditional public relations agency into an integrated communications marketing firm. We bring together specialized expertise across digital, social, creative, paid media, creator marketing and research to help clients evolve, promote and protect their brands in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing marketplace.
By investing in specialty capabilities and fostering a culture centered on collaboration, innovation and creativity, Edelman is uniquely positioned to deliver integrated, best-in-class work that drives meaningful business and brand impact for our clients.
Edelman has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Vice President, Creator Marketing to partner closely with our world-class Brand team in our award-winning Los Angeles office, leading creator strategy and programming across a portfolio of major consumer and financial services brands.
The ideal candidate is a senior marketing leader with deep expertise in the creator economy, talent partnerships, social platforms, branded content and integrated marketing. This individual will bring a sophisticated understanding of the rapidly evolving creator ecosystem and a demonstrated ability to translate culture, audience behavior and platform dynamics into strategies that deliver measurable business and brand outcomes.
We are particularly interested in leaders who have worked across consumer-facing categories, including CPG, food and beverage, and financial services, and understand how creator strategy must flex across different audiences, purchase journeys, cultural contexts and levels of industry complexity. Experience navigating highly visible brands and categories with nuanced reputational, regulatory or brand-safety considerations is highly valued.
The Senior Vice President will serve as a senior strategic counselor to clients and internal leaders, shaping creator strategy within large-scale, 360-degree integrated campaigns and identifying opportunities to expand the role creators play across the broader marketing mix. They will bring established relationships across the creator, talent, platform and agency ecosystem and will be equally comfortable advising senior clients, leading complex programs, developing high-performing teams and driving business growth.
This role requires a leader who can move seamlessly between vision and execution—setting the strategic direction for creator marketing while ensuring programs are operationally sound, creatively ambitious, culturally relevant and accountable to measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Set and advance the strategic vision for creator marketing, helping clients and internal teams navigate the evolving creator economy, emerging platforms, changing audience behaviors and new models for creator partnership.
- Serve as a senior strategic counselor to executive-level clients, advising on how creators can advance business, brand, reputation and communications objectives and identifying opportunities to increase the impact of creator investment.
- Lead creator strategy across a diverse portfolio of consumer-facing businesses, adapting approaches to different audiences, categories, customer journeys and business objectives.
- Bring a nuanced understanding of creator marketing within CPG and other high-frequency consumer categories, including the role creators can play in product discovery, cultural relevance, trial, consideration and brand affinity.
- Understand the unique considerations of creator marketing within financial services and other highly regulated or reputation-sensitive categories, balancing creative opportunity with appropriate attention to disclosure, brand safety, risk and stakeholder considerations.
- Lead the development of sophisticated creator strategies across large-scale and integrated client engagements, ensuring creator thinking is embedded across paid, earned, owned, social, creative and experiential programs.
- Advise clients on creator partnerships across a wide range of scopes, talent tiers, investment levels and deal structures, bringing expertise in designing programs that balance creative ambition, cultural relevance, brand safety and measurable performance.
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior clients, becoming a go-to advisor on the creator economy, social platforms, talent partnerships and broader shifts in culture and consumer behavior.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships across the creator ecosystem, including creators, talent managers, agents, platforms, technology partners and other industry stakeholders.
- Drive innovation within Edelman’s creator marketing offering, identifying emerging opportunities, capabilities, technologies and partnership models that strengthen the firm's competitive advantage.
- Establish and evolve processes, tools and best practices that enable creator programs to operate efficiently and consistently at scale while maintaining a high bar for strategic and creative excellence.
- Partner closely with strategy, creative, production, paid media, social, earned media, analytics and account leadership to develop fully integrated campaigns in which creators play a meaningful strategic role.
- Provide executive oversight of major creator programs and client engagements, ensuring teams deliver exceptional work, anticipate challenges and maintain strong client satisfaction and business health.
- Lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams, including senior talent, through mentorship, career development, succession planning, goal setting and consistent feedback.
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert and external-facing authority on the creator economy, proactively bringing clients and teams perspectives on emerging trends, cultural shifts, platform developments and industry innovation.
- Shape agency POVs, intellectual property and thought leadership related to creators, social influence and the broader creator economy, strengthening Edelman’s reputation and differentiation in the marketplace.
- Partner with measurement and analytics teams to establish meaningful frameworks for evaluating creator effectiveness and use data, insights and performance results to help clients optimize investment and demonstrate business and brand impact.
- Drive organic growth and commercial success across the portfolio, identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships, introduce new capabilities and deepen Edelman’s creator marketing engagements.
