Responsible for administering HR policies and procedures at the service center level and overseeing HR functions by providing support for recruiting, hiring and terminations. Provide HR related training and monitor employee engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide training and support to the Service Center Team on the hiring process including Behavior Based interviewing, posting internal and external job openings, and moving applicants through WorkDay.
  • Handle employee questions regarding benefits, compensation, 401K, time off policies, etc.
  • Provide support to the Management Team on the Progressive Discipline process.
  • Assist Corporate HR with the implementation of programs and communication with employees at the service center level
  • Provide local level support for FMLA/Disability process adherence with the Corporate HR Leave of Absence management team
  • Maintain close contact with the Regional HRD Manager to ensure compliance with OD’s policies and procedures and state/federal employment laws and regulations
  • Encourage employee engagement and promote OD’s culture and family spirit while attending  dock and safety meetings
  • Assist with careers fairs and local recruiting events
  • Assist with HR related ongoing training at the service center level

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree in HR or Business Administration required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Human Resource Certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)

Experience:

  • 2 years of HR experience, preferable in the transportation industry
  • Knowledge of OD’s hiring process in WorkDay
  • Knowledge of general HR policies and procedures
  • Strong time management, organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, and WorkDay
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated

Compensation Range:

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and state/local wage requirements. 

$85,500 - $106,874
