About the Job:
  • Assist R&D engineers in full-cycle development of protection devices, covering design definition, sample testing, pilot runs, product iteration, VAVE and cost reduction work.
  • Utilize SolidWorks, UG, AutoCAD and other 2D/3D CAD tools to complete 3D modeling, 2D engineering drawing drafting, structural optimization and dimension tolerance checking, and deliver cost-down design solutions from structural perspective.
  • Support material selection, performance comparison and testing for fuse raw materials, core components, conductive and insulating materials. Conduct supplier technical assessments and achieve cost savings via material substitution and specification optimization.
  • Carry out VAVE value engineering analysis to identify redundant component designs, and propose solutions for cost reduction, efficiency improvement and structural simplification.
  • Independently complete prototype assembly, electrical testing, reliability verification and failure dissection & analysis. Summarize test data, validate cost-reduction proposals and optimize product designs based on test results.
  • Prepare technical documentation: design specifications, material standards, test reports, competitor benchmarking files, VAVE analysis, cost-reduction plans and phase validation records
  • Monitor fuse industry standards and emerging technologies, compile standardized product documents, and propose technical proposals for new product rollout, performance upgrades and standardized cost reduction.
  • Perform additional supervisor-assigned technical work for R&D, VAVE and cost reduction.
About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree, major in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Design or related disciplines.
  • Familiar with product development workflow
  • Proficient in 2D CAD, SolidWorks/UG 3D modeling software, capable of independent basic structural modeling and engineering drawing creation.
  • Strong hands-on skills to independently finish prototype assembly, electrical performance test, destructive test and product failure dissection analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver technical information clearly, align project requirements with the team, feedback test results and propose improvement recommendations.
  • Proactive, highly executable and good team player to advance multiple R&D projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Language: Basic English listening, reading and writing ability.
Preferred:
  • Working experience in R&D of fuses or circuit protection components.
  • Practical experience in material performance testing, component failure analysis and new material prototype validation.
  • Familiar with UL, IEC and domestic electrical safety standards for fuses and related protection devices.
  • Experience coordinating with mold factories, raw material suppliers and production workshops to optimize product manufacturability.
