Sustainability Strategist

Summary of functions

Are you concerned about social and environmental issues and would like to contribute to the responsible development of a major financial institution? Join iA Financial Group's Sustainability team to advise the company on the development and implementation of its sustainability program. In so doing, you'll contribute to iA's sustainable growth and help promote its value and reputation. Under the supervision of the Director, Sustainability, and in close collaboration with all the company's stakeholders and collaborators, your main responsibilities will be :

• Coordinate work aimed at bringing the company's sustainability policy and program to life and developing it further;

• Implement, monitor and develop projects on both general and specific topics (e.g. climate change);

• Support the company's sustainability reporting activities, including the Sustainability Report and the Climate Change Performance Report, in compliance with applicable standards and frameworks;

• Participate in reporting activities for ESG rating agencies;

• Actively participate in projects and initiatives related to climate change (measuring greenhouse gas emissions, monitoring targets and commitments, analyses, decarbonization plan, data collection, etc.);

• Draft documents and other communications for various external and internal audiences; • Monitor best sustainability practices, including practices in the insurance and financial services industry;

• Advise company stakeholders on sustainability issues;

• Support the deployment of communication activities and sustainability training within iA.

Profile required

• Undergraduate degree (sustainability, corporate social responsibility, environment, administration or related disciplines) ;

• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience ;

• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally ​;

• Intermediate level of oral and written English. Tasks in English include oral communication to facilitate meetings and make presentations, as well as writing e-mails and reports with internal and external partners who are unilingual English speakers ;

• Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint ;

• Autonomous, collaborative, with a sense of initiative, team spirit and communication skills.

The iA flexible working model requires a minimum presence of 2 days per month at the home office.
