Working closely with cross-functional and site teams, the position ensures that sustainability and climate-related requirements are consistently embedded into operational processes and that regulatory developments are effectively translated into practice. It also supports the continuous improvement of ESG methodologies, data quality, and internal controls, while contributing to audit readiness and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making and the improvement of sustainability performance across the organization.
Your tasks
- Support the Sustainability Manager in implementing Kardex’ sustainability strategy, with a focus on ESG data management, analysis and reporting, and climate-related initiatives
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and transparency of ESG data in line with reporting standards and regulatory requirements through close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
- Collect, validate, monitor, and report ESG KPIs across departments to track performance and progress against sustainability targets
- Drive and implement Scope 3 greenhouse gas accounting processes, including data collection and emissions calculations
- Support the continuous improvement of ESG KPIs, methodologies, controls, and reporting processes
- Analyze ESG data to identify trends, supporting data-driven decision-making
- Coordinate internal and external ESG audits, ensuring proper documentation and supporting limited assurance processes
- Contribute to the preparation of sustainability disclosures and reporting in line with regulatory requirements and other communication materials
- Benchmark ESG performance against peers and relevant frameworks to identify opportunities for improvement
- Support the implementation and continuous development of company-wide climate targets, decarbonization initiatives, and related action plans by driving measures across business divisions
- Promote sustainability awareness across the organization through training sessions, workshops, and communication initiatives
- Act as a business partner to site teams and internal stakeholders by providing guidance and support to improve sustainability performance and implement regulatory requirements
- Monitor and track relevant ESG regulations and reporting requirements
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration (with a focus on sustainability), Energy & Resource Technology, or a related field
- 3 years of relevant experience in sustainability roles (or sustainability consulting) in industrial and international business environments
- Strong understanding of ESG reporting standards, frameworks, and regulations (e.g. TCFD, GRI, ESRS, GHG Protocol, SBTi, CDP, EU Taxonomy)
- Experience with Scope 1, 2, and Scope 3 emissions methodologies, data collection, calculations, performance tracking and action plans; experience with Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) is an advantage
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset combined with a high level of ownership and a proactive, solution-oriented working style, with strong cross-functional stakeholder communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
