Your Role in Our Story:
In essence, your role involves:
- Conducting U.S.-focused market, industry, and client-level research to identify corporate sustainability trends and translate them into actionable insights to inform client engagement and internal strategy
- Supporting client engagement by collaborating with Corporate Sales and Marketing to develop client-specific positioning, pitches, and proposals.
- Contribute sustainability insights for thought leadership initiatives, such as newsletters, reports, events, webinars, reinforcing ACT’s credibility in the market.
- Representing ACT externally at conferences, workshops, and panels, while equipping colleagues with sustainability insights to do the same.
- Coordinating internal sustainability knowledge-building initiatives such as maintaining internal knowledge databases and conducting employee training sessions.
Your Expertise:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- 4–5 years of experience in sustainability, market intelligence, consulting, or strategy roles within the renewable energy, sustainable finance, or environmental sectors.
- Strong analytical skills, with expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research, and familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, and AI-supported analysis.
- Familiarity with global sustainability standards and reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISSB, CDP, SBTi, RE100, SEC Climate Disclosures).
- Exceptional communication skills, including content development (e.g., presentations, reports) and confident public speaking.
- Ability to navigate cross-functional and cross-cultural environments, influence stakeholders, and synthesize complex information into client-ready strategies.
- Proven ability to drive knowledge enablement and contribute to ACT’s thought leadership both internally and externally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability/Environmental Studies, Economics, Business Administration or Public Policy.
Please note: This role is based in our Midtown New York City office and offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for one remote day per week.
The base pay range for this position is $110,000-145,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The base pay is just one component of the total competitive compensation package for employees.
