Basic-Fit is looking for a new colleague to support our sustainability strategy, and to monitor and report on our progress. This Is What Your Role Looks Like
As Sustainability Reporting Specialist at Basic-Fit, you will be part of the Sustainability department and play your part in advancing our sustainability strategy in coordination with our stakeholders, both internal and external. From the annual report to ESG indices and benchmarking, you will be producing robust, timely and verifiable information which can be reported and shared with our internal and external stakeholders.
In this multidisciplinary function, you have a hands-on position dealing with other supporting departments (Investor Relations, Business Control and Corporate Communications). You will report directly to the Sustainability Reporting Manager.
Your Responsibilities:
Coordinate data collection across internal teams and business partners Perform quality controls, monitor performance of reporting process, investigate issues, and propose improvements to ensure accuracy and audit-readiness
Support implementation and upkeeping of ESG data management platforms
Ensure sufficiency of documentation and evidence to back reported information
Coordinate submission to specific sustainability assessments or questionnaires (e.g. MSCI, Sustainalytics, CDP, investors assessments)
Draft qualitative content to enhance communication of sustainability matters internally and externally
Support monitoring of ESG regulations (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy), assessing their impact on business operations and supporting internal teams in fulfilling new requirements
We Are You?
A self-starter who is keen on improving frameworks and processes. Your communication and social skills allow you to collaborate with the different departments throughout the organisation. You are driven and keen to deliver an excellent performance.
Additionally, we’re looking for someone who is:
A Bachelor/Master degree in Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (HBO/WO);
Strong affinity with sustainability and working knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks;
Good communication skills in English; also speaking Dutch, French and/or Spanish is a plus.
Strong in creating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including accross different organisational departments and levels;
High level of analytical and problem-solving skills;
High quality standards regarding outputs produced.
