Job Title: Sustainability Research Intern
Location: USA Homebased Remote
About the role:
This role will participate, as directed, in the Sustainability team as a member of a consulting project team as a research intern focused on developing an internal carbon reduction management database. In this role, you will primarily be supporting the carbon and climate team in building out the carbon reduction management database, as well providing ad hoc support on various projects that require additional research. Projects are variable and challenging, and may range in topics including but not limited to carbon reduction, GHG accounting, sustainability regulations and standards research, and sustainable supply chains.
Responsibilities:
Research on carbon reduction management tactics by industry, and subsequent updating of internal database that compiles and organizes these tactics
Research and updates to existing internal databases on global sustainability regulations. Including applicability to companies, and capturing ad hoc changes
Supporting development of internal and client-facing sustainability training
Compiling data and providing input to client reports and programs
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Working towards undergraduate degree preferably in a topic in or adjacent to sustainability (environment, business and human rights, supply chain) or equivalent professional experience.
Strong research and organizational skills, with a good work ethic and ability to work independently and remotely
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide support at all levels of the business

The hourly rate for this position is $20 - $23 USD hourly; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
