Job Description
ESPR, Sustainability, Design for Sustainability, Product Life Cycle, LCA, Life Cycle Assessment, Circularity, Ecodesign, Recyclability, Repairability, Modularity, Durability, Refurbishment, Remanufacturing, PFAS, Standardization.
Responsibilities:
- Drive compliance for ESPR regulations, Design for Sustainability and Circularity score card in the Business Unit. Act as Sustainability Subject Matter Expert and internal Sustainability Consultant for development teams. Collaborate with Global Sustainability Team.
- Perform Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for Distributed IO and Small Controller products.
- Cooperate with Development Teams and other internal functions such as Sourcing, Industrialization, Operations, Quality, Distribution Centers to collect data needed for LCA, Design for Sustainability and other sustainability reporting. Connect with Suppliers to collect data and identify design alternatives.
- Stay up to date with the requirements and legislative documents related to sustainability.
- Work with Management to drive best practices for new product development.
- Implement design practices to calculate and improve reliability, durability, recyclability, modularity, reparability of the product. Identify and eliminate Substances of Concern from product lines.
Minimum qualification and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, or Sustainability Engineering preferred).
- Knowledge of Ecodesign, LCA, energy efficiency and other sustainability concepts.
- Expertise in LCA tools, software and libraries (GaBi, SimaPro or similar)
- Practitioner in problem solving tools.
- Familiarity with industrial product lifecycle.
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desired skillset:
- Familiarity with Ecodesign Directive and ESPR.
- Passion on Sustainability, Green Environment and Circularity.
- Working experience in PLM tool, SAP and Windchill preferred.
- Knowledge of EU legislative process and regulations related to Green Deal.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and various input/Output products.
- Be able to gather and analyze information and as necessary, help develop appropriate options and actions.
- Experience in driving standards requirements implementation.
Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
