You will be a member of our multi-disciplinary sustainability team, collaborating with design and technical leadership as an integral part of project teams across the firm. Under the direct supervision of our sustainability leadership, the primary responsibilities will include the following:
- Manage/facilitate/coordinate sustainable design strategies for multiple institutional and commercial building design and construction projects.
- Manage the documentation process for rating systems and standards, primarily LEED.
- Guide the sustainable design process through workshops, design charrettes, stakeholder engagement etc.
- Research materials, systems, and approaches to improve the health and wellness of our projects.
- Facilitate in-house design team and client meetings.
- Perform building energy and life cycle analysis.
- May visit job site to verify conditions and document construction for LEED etc requirements. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
- Recommend ways to improve our process, quality and coordination efforts.
- May perform related duties as required.
- Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering, or Environmental Design (or equivalent) from an accredited program.
- LEED AP BD+C required, additional certifications (i.e. WELL AP) a plus.
- 4+ years of relevant experience required.
- Healthcare, Education and/or Commercial design experience preferred.
- Strong sustainability portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively work on multiple projects at a time.
- Experience in energy analysis software (e.g. eQUEST, Energy Plus) preferred.
- Experience with life cycle assessment (e.g. Tally, One-Click LCA, Athena) preferred.
