The Sustainability Analyst (Level III / Senior) supports Williams’ ESG strategy through analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
At the Analyst III level, you will independently execute sustainability initiatives and reporting activities. At the Senior level, you will lead complex efforts, provide strategic insights, and influence enterprise outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of ESG topics, reporting frameworks, and emerging regulations to support business decision-making and sustainability strategy
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to advance sustainability initiatives, disclosures, and operational priorities
Analyze sustainability performance data, track progress against goals, and develop insights for internal and external reporting
Identify ESG-related risks, opportunities, and data needs in collaboration with business partners and subject-matter experts
Develop and enhance sustainability processes, policies, and internal controls to improve data quality, consistency, and reliability
Synthesize complex information into clear, compelling materials for internal leaders and external stakeholders
Conduct research and peer benchmarking to inform strategy, planning, and continuous improvement
Manage multiple priorities and contribute to projects ranging from defined workstreams to complex, enterprise-wide initiatives
At the Senior level, this role also:
Leads cross-functional initiatives and drives execution of complex sustainability programs
Shapes strategy through advanced analysis, insights, and recommendations
Builds strong partnerships to influence outcomes and advance ESG priorities across the organization
Designs and implements scalable processes and governance frameworks
Serves as a subject-matter expert and mentor within the function
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience (Analyst III) or 7+ years of experience (Senior) in sustainability, EHS, policymaking, audit, internal controls, or a related field
Preferred Experience
Sustainability reporting and ESG disclosure frameworks
Policy development and internal controls design
Project management or cross-functional initiative leadership
Exposure to investor relations or external stakeholder engagement
Skills & Capabilities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively
Knowledge of midstream operations and sustainability considerations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
Commitment to safety as a core value
Senior-level candidates will also demonstrate:
Advanced ESG subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge
Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence across functions
Experience implementing scalable processes and driving strategic outcomes
