About the Role: CSS is seeking a skilled and motivated Survey Project Manager to lead and oversee their survey projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of survey methods, data collection techniques, and project management principles. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Manage project budgets and ensure timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential roadblocks or challenges.
- Implement project management methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Survey Execution:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop accurate and relevant surveys.
- Select appropriate data collection methods, such as GPS, total stations, LIDAR, or drones.
- Oversee the recruitment and training of field crews.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy through quality control measures.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze survey data using specialized software to extract meaningful insights.
- Prepare detailed reports and maps summarizing key findings and recommendations.
- Communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and expectations.
- Proactively communicate project updates and address client inquiries.
- Collaborate with clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Missouri Licensed Land Surveyor or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months.
- Proven experience in survey project management, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of survey methodologies, data collection techniques, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in survey software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
