Job Description

Arcadis is looking for a Survey Assistant to join its growing team.

Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.

This role sits within our global business area Places. We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive. Places impact on the quality of people’s lives. Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers. People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.

Role accountabilities:


  • GPS and total station (robotic) equipment
  • Survey software and data collection techniques
  • Take and keep accurate field notes
  • Boundary resolution, preparation of ROW plans, easements, plats, and other instruments for property transfer
  • Survey layout for various projects related to land development 
  • Implement existing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy 
  • AutoCAD and/or Microstation
  • Drone technology, scanning, and GIS data collection/manipulation

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Classwork knowledge of survey techniques for topographic, boundary and construction surveying – preferred not required
  • Possess a valid drivers’ license
  • Some travel may be required
  • Experience preferred but not required
