The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading a diverse team of engineers and other technical specialties to perform technical services in support of operations. This role will encourage safe operations, while influencing decisions that improve the reliability and operability of our pipeline systems and will serve as a specialist in the field for meaningful organizational programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Leads the team in efforts to improve operability, maintainability, and reliability of existing assets within Operations; ensures all work performed is in strict accordance with policies and procedures
  • Serves as a contact point for business development, commercial development, and operations; develops and maintains effective relationships with internal/external business partners
  • Supervises project activities of third party project managers, consulting engineers, construction inspectors, and contractors
  • Participates in planning, commissioning, and start-up of new and modified facilities
  • Supervises the utilization of computer modeling and data analysis tools to aid in the evaluation, justification, and development of solutions to problems and/or opportunities
  • Provides technical support to all functional departments as part of troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, optimization, start-up, and turnarounds
  • Coordinates workforce planning and career development for team members
  • Manages costs through accurate planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling with a focus on safety, high reliability, environmental and regulatory compliance
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering field from an ABET-accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and a minimum of eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas, petrochemical, or related industry. a minimum of six (6) years of engineering experience
  • Preferred: Previous leadership experience; PE Certification
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and PC skills
  • Ability to analyze, develop and implement process improvements, documentation and reports
  • Experience in three or more of the following areas: Operations, Design, Engineering, Project Management, Business Development, Construction, Environmental or Front-line Supervision
