Dow is pleased to offer an opportunity to participate in a Supported Internship Program in Barry, UK. This program is designed for students with moderate intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program. As a participant in this internship, you will gain hands-on workplace experience while continuing your academic learning. The program combines real-world exposure with structured classroom learning to help you build marketable and transferable skills, preparing you for future competitive employment within the community. This is an excellent opportunity to explore different roles, develop independence, and enhance your confidence in a professional environment
Responsibilities
Collaborate with operations teams to provide technical support, solve problems, and improve plant performance.
Complete three structured 10-week internships across a variety of roles within the organization
Actively participate in the required classroom-based curriculum as part of the program
Work towards achieving defined goals and milestones for each internship rotation
Demonstrate commitment, punctuality, and a willingness to learn in a professional setting
Collaborate with mentors, supervisors, and peers to develop workplace skills
Qualifications
Must have received an official program acceptance letter from their local school for the Dow Supported Internship Program
Must meet all eligibility criteria set by the partnering educational institution
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program
