Logistics Specialist Job Description
Delta Group Logistics is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team. The Logistics Specialist will manage the flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics systems and processes, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to take initiative and work independently.
Logistics Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the flow services to customers
- Develop and implement logistics plans and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and other service providers
- Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery and cost savings
- Build and book loads for customers
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with best practices in supply chain management
- Ability to use data in making logistics more efficient
- Comfort using common logistics management software, such as McLeod/Carrier411/FourKites
- Strong customer service capabilities
- Understanding of both warehouse and transportation management
- Capacity to multitask
Logistics Specialist Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Knowledge of logistics systems and processes

Salary
This position's starting salary is $50,000 (USD) and goes up based on experience. Commission eligible after 12 months!
Schedule
- Monday through Friday in office
- 2:00PM to 10:00PM
- This position is not offered remotely
All state and federal COVID guidelines are being followed in office.
